Haven't seen any nominated films?

If you haven't had a chance to see any of the Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Original Screenplay or any of the films that may have been discussed in this year's awards season, why not do the second best thing? Read the script. Here's a link to download many of this year's best scripts, including "Lincoln", "Django Unchained" and "Silver Lining's Playbook."

Film 1 - Beat Sheet sample

Here's a link to a Beat Sheet for "Inception." Take a look and see how the beat sheet relates to the finished product. If you haven't seen the film, take a look. There is also a link to the script, not a bad idea to download it and read along as you look at the beats.

Academy Award winning picks

Actually that subject line should have probably read, Academy Award winning picker. It has become a tradition in my classes each year to choose the picks for the Academy Award. I have always given extra credit points for the person in each class who chooses the most Awards, remember you don't win the Academy Award, it is awarded to someone. Don't ask, I guess people don't want to hurt anyone's feelings.
Anyways, I'm trying to figure out what the winner this year should win, points or something else? I'll take suggestions right up to the 22nd of February. Any and all suggestions, within reason and/or monetary value, will be taken into advisement.
